This Sponsorship Program is a way for Sponsors to support Christian events for our youth
while getting the benefit of their labor.
Youth and Sponsor Guidelines
For Youth Group children interested in working to earn money for Christian events.
Sponsors and Youth are linked via the church. Guidelines for each set forth.
The youth understand the money will be kept in their Personal Youth Group Account for
an approved function. Under no circumstances will cash be returned to them. If they
do not use their account before they graduate from High School, the remaining money will
go into the Youth Group General Fund.
All youth and their parent or guardian must sign a permission slip indicating they understand
how all money will be handled, as well as basic rules and responsibilities, and the type of work
for which they are qualified.
Payment guidelines
Suggested hourly rate based on their grade level (i.e., 9th grader would be paid $9/hr, etc.)
Make sure they earn their rate of pay! It is allowable to tip in cash, but that is not expected.
Checks should be made payable to VBC Youth Group - please include the youth's name on the memo line.
